AMRD directly affects the macula, which is found in the center of the retina. There are not many ways how to stop macular degeneration. The retina is located at the back of the eye and consists of light-sensitive tissue that converts light into electrical impulses and then sends them to the brain. Test your eyes for symptoms of macular degeneration since they can sneak up on you.
